Well-rested and dry, I set off for Profitis Ilias. Right at the beginning, within 1 km, there is a 300-meter elevation, finally burning thighs again. Since it was cloudy, I skipped the path to the viewpoint. On the way, I received a message from the patent attorney. It looks good. Maybe I'll be an inventor soon 😊. The first hiking guide said that the paths here are not worthwhile because they mostly go along paved roads. I think that doesn't detract from the landscape here at all. On the contrary, you just don't have to concentrate so much on your steps. Here, all the delicious stuff that is served in the restaurants grows. Especially wine and olives. And it's definitely nice to look at. My second travel guide mentions that there is a private landlord in Profitis Ilias. In the tavern, I asked about a room after the meal. Unfortunately, there are none available and the one mentioned in the travel guide hasn't lived here for three years. Heraklion would be an option. But there is no more bus service. The group at the table will discuss it briefly. Later, someone will take me up to the abandoned house and I could just stay there. Said and done. A cute house that was originally lovingly furnished, but unfortunately, it has been quite devastated. The door was kicked in and there was a huge mess. I figured that with about an hour of work, I could prepare it enough for one night. It turned out to be quite cozy. And I managed to turn on the water, so washing and using the toilet was possible.
