A bit of beach, relaxation, swimming in the Atlantic and seeing how the landscape looks here. That's what I thought. So I had no problem coming by bus and the hotel is located close to one of the smaller city beaches. I didn't have high expectations for the photo yield here. Punta del Este is a modern city with a checkerboard-like street network and many high-rise buildings, but also villas. The walk around the peninsula was surprising. I went to the port to look for a way to take a trip to a nearby island. Then there was a shaggy monstrous creature in front of me at the quay. A sign reminds that these 'lobo marino' are not aggressive, but you should keep your distance. In English they are called sea lions, but the resemblance to a wolf (lobo) cannot be denied due to the shaggy neck mane. This specimen was simply tired and lazy. Later I saw one of the fishermen stroke and pet one of the colossi on the neck. Funny was the next scene, where one of the lobos had boarded the smallest cutter Rififi II. The owner had trouble getting the animal off the boat, tried to talk to it nicely and then even threw a fruit crate - the animal didn't care, eventually it got off the boat, only to board again 5 minutes later.
