After a relatively adventurous journey, I arrived in Nosara on Saturday. Apparently, we drive through the forest here before crossing the river and then we are shaken gently through the desert :) Yes, the roads here cannot be compared to those in Switzerland. If it doesn't rain for a long time, they spread a molasses (based on malt) on the road to reduce dust. Oh, and the motorcyclists wear ski masks because of the dust, but they don't wear helmets.
In any case, Nosara is a charming surfer village with many good restaurants. Here I met friends from Switzerland who recommended a great hotel to me. The Mango Villas B&B. It's great to be on the road with good people. In this hotel, there is also a couple from San Francisco and a couple from London. In the past few days, I went surfing and eating with them. It's always exciting to hear how everyday life is in other countries.
The breakfast buffet at the B&B is amazing. Besides that, there is a saltwater pool, many trees and plants, and lots of animals. Raccoons, coatis, birds, etc. Oh, I also had a cute little spider on my pillow when I wanted to go to bed haha. And earlier, I was pooped on by a gecko, but apparently that brings luck...or so they say ;)
Most of the time, we go to the beach before breakfast (I go jogging and the others go surfing), then the day goes pretty leisurely, as it should be.
Today, I stood up early in the afternoon to surf :)
Pura Vida - I'm happy
On Thursday, I'll go back to San Jose, and on Friday, I'll continue to Guayaquil.
