Winter in Poland

Hello!

We have been on the road for exactly one week now and after 1300 kilometers we are in Nitra, Slovakia. However, only for a break at Mc Cafe to mooch some internet. The weather leaves much to be desired today... but we will continue on to Budapest soon!

In the past week, as a test run, we have already experienced all seasons in short form. In Karpacz, it was already so warm in the sun that we could unpack our sandals and the driver's cabin turned into a sauna (that will be something in Turkey :D). In Krakow, we treated ourselves to a campsite for the first time, but that won't happen very often, Knut costs as much as the two of us together, and he doesn't even take a shower (but he could really use one by now)! We have also always found a nice place to spend the night... even if it means getting a parking ticket ;)

When it started raining in Krakow, we continued towards the High Tatras and ended up in the middle of winter. But that didn't stop us from layering our clothes and hiking in the mountains with 40 cm of snow. Two days of snow were enough for us, so we headed towards Slovakia.

Overall, we are doing very well (including Knut!) Our biggest problem so far has been buying milk at the supermarket - on the third attempt, it was finally not buttermilk anymore!

Okay, coffee break is over, we're continuing to Budapest!
