Yesterday we spent the whole day in Kuala Lumpur, here are our impressions:
1st Stop: Batu Caves
Mega long colorful staircase that leads to a cave and is a sacred place for Hindus. That's why many Indians visit this place.
The colorful temples in the deep caves, the loud music, and the praying people, who by the way all walked barefoot, created a special atmosphere.
Afterwards, we went to an Indian restaurant and ate there as the only Europeans. We had Roti Canai, Indian flatbread (Helmuth recommended it to us urgently on the plane). A friendly Indian explained to us that we should eat it with our hands and then dip it in sauce, which was of course very strange for us at first, which is why there are sinks in the middle of many restaurants.
2nd Stop: Petronas Towers
Afterwards, we went to the Petronas Towers, which are the tallest twin towers in the world. Apart from their size, there was nothing special about them.
3rd Stop: Park with swimming pool
The park is located in the middle of the city behind the twin towers, surrounded by huge modern skyscrapers. The whole park looked pristine, not a single leaf was lying around and the lawn was like a golf course.
4th Stop: Central Market
A large hall in the middle of Chinatown with many packed stalls from clothing, paintings to loud food stalls, divided into two floors.
After the day, it was really necessary to take a shower to clean off the whole city dirt, after which we fell straight into bed.
