Today begins with the farewell of the children. The separation is difficult for everyone. Even the sky is crying.
Birgit and I will stay a few more hours at our private beach before we move on to Parga. The village still shows its roots as a fishing village, but you have to look closely, as mass tourism has left deep scars here. Although the staff at the café assures us that not much is going on anymore, we find it quite bustling.
We like the fortress above the town, and the view from up there is by far the best.
Not even 20 km further, in Katavostasi Beach, where we set up our camp for the night, not a single restaurant is open anymore. No problem, we still have enough in the fridge.
Since it is quite windy, the waves crash on the long beach. We are even forced to eat in the car, watching the sunset through the window.
