Phillip Island with Australian family

Pubblicato: 05.12.2017

From Monday to Thursday, I was on Phillip Island with my Australian family (where I had already been with Lisa a month earlier). Julia had booked a campsite that even had an indoor pool - we used it daily!
On the way to Phillip Island, we stopped at the bridge to see the pelicans being fed. They were much bigger than we expected. When we arrived at the campsite, we first set up the tent (which was not as easy as we imagined...). I then inflated the two air mattresses with a foot pump. In the evening, we went to the penguin parade, which the island is famous for. The penguins, which are only about 30 cm tall, can only be found there. They are the smallest penguins in the world. At sunset, they all come home to their nests - you can watch them. Although it is quite expensive, it was definitely worth it. Unfortunately, photos were not allowed at the parade, but on the way there, we saw a penguin that was already home - so of course, I also took a photo of a cute little penguin.
The next day, we went to the wildlife park - where you can cuddle with kangaroos :) We did this again, and this time my baby was with us too!! Amazing! And since the koalas were so active this time, I had to take a lot of photos - koalas are just too cute! After Curtis took his nap, we went to the beach - and even went swimming. Unfortunately, the water was not as warm this time... But once you were in, it was okay. When we got back to the campsite, we immediately went to the pool where we took great underwater photos with Curtis. In the evening, we went out for Chinese food! But because Curtis absolutely didn't want to go to sleep afterwards, I played with him outside and the neighboring children naturally joined in too. The kids had a lot of fun until it was time to say goodbye. Then my baby and I went to the beach, where we took great photos and he 'ran' along the beach. I was surprised how fast he was! It didn't take him 5 minutes to fall asleep afterwards.
Wednesday was the most exciting day for me personally - why? I'll tell you in my next post.
