Verrauchtes Banff

Today was all about sleeping in, having a leisurely breakfast, and checking out. Before we said goodbye to Banff National Park and headed towards Calgary, we spent the day in the town of Banff.

Although Banff itself is beautiful, it mostly consists of hotels, restaurants, and souvenir and outdoor shops. Since it's peak season, it was also quite crowded.

Unfortunately, the smoke from the wildfires in British Columbia and Alberta is very present in this area, making it sometimes unpleasant to be outside.

In the late afternoon, we made our way to Calgary - where we will be spending the next few days until we fly out again this weekend.
