Bellver Castle

The Mein Schiff 1 is docked today at Odyssey Terminal 6 Maritima. This terminal is, in my opinion, the worst docking location in Palma de Mallorca. It has no direct connection to the city other than the paid shuttle bus from the cruise line and taxis.

To get to Bellver Castle or the city using public transport, you first walk to the port exit and then continue to the Castell de Sant Carles. The distance is about 1.5 km. Here, you will find the bus stop for line 1.

• The bus operates on weekdays approximately every 20 minutes.
• Fare per person for a one-way trip is €3 (Round trip ticket €5).
• Only cash payment is accepted.

We will go to station 28 Passeig Maritim - Can Barbera.
Tip: If you run the route live on Google Maps, you will see where you need to get off. The bus did not have a stop display and did not stop at every stop. This keeps things clear.
From the bus stop, Google Maps and the signage will guide us up to the castle. This is another approximately 1.2 km with many steps.
On the way up, we first reach the chapel of Sant Alonso. Unfortunately, it was closed, so only a photo could be taken through the glazing of the entrance door.
Here, there is a fantastic view of the city and the ship.
Before reaching the last steps to the castle entrance, we must first go left to the ticket office.

Great castle, with a museum and a view of the city. It was worth it.
I recommend Bellver Castle to anyone who is in good shape. Alternatively, it can also be reached by the hop-on hop-off bus.
Depending on your mood, you can also take a trip to the city afterwards.
