After a night at the harbor right by Lake Cospudener, I go swimming in the beautifully clear water and I'm done before the first families arrive on Saturday morning. To have a quiet breakfast, I move to another parking lot that I discovered by bicycle. I'm slowly getting used to living in the bus. :)
I have signed up for a free walking tour in Leipzig at 3 p.m., which I always find to be the best way to visit a city and get some insider tips when time is limited. Well, actually, I wanted to avoid cities, but being alone, I'm kind of longing for a bit more hustle and bustle. I am totally impressed by the city of Leipzig, it reminds me a bit of Berlin, but quieter and more manageable. :) And since I'm already exploring by bike, I already feel at home.
While there are lots of kebab shops where I'm from, there are many Vietnamese restaurants here, and since I feel like having Asian food, I find a nice restaurant on TripAdvisor. Tofu vegetables in a coconut peanut sauce and a mango ginger smoothie :) The prices are comparable to what we have in the south, but definitely worth the quality. :)
Afterwards, I meet up with Ernesto and some of his Latin American friends through Couchsurfing at the Sachsenbrücke, where a small concert is taking place to raise donations for Chile, where there is currently a major famine due to the corona crisis. :(
To ride back while it's still light, I say goodbye around 8 p.m. and end the evening with a nighttime swim in the lake.
