The best time of the year begins. Long awaited and yet so quickly here... Vacation... With a fully packed car and two excited children, we drove to Grandma & Grandpa in Röderau last night. Our vehicle for the next three weeks was already waiting there. We spent the evening and the morning packing and loading. Finally, around noon, we finally started. 4 hours of peaceful driving with no traffic jams and sleeping children. Only the last hour was a bit nerve-wracking as the Mehnerts got hungry and the little one suddenly had to pee urgently.

The destination was Hodenhagen Serengeti Park. Check in and off to the ugliest campsite ever. And then the rain came. After weeks of abundant summer, our vacation started wet. We took shelter in the caravan on Sunday, made coffee, and waited for better weather. Around 7 o'clock, we took a walk in the park and already started thinking about what we can do tomorrow.

It's now half past nine. The children are still excited due to too much nap time and drinking cola. Let's see when peace returns here.
