Friday, 21.12.2018: School's out - end of work - finally 3 weeks of vacation and holiday. At 3 PM, we start our fully loaded camper van (Jumpy) towards Genoa, to catch the ferry to Tangier in Morocco. After having to take a 200 km detour due to snow in Switzerland and the resulting closure of the Gotthard Tunnel, we arrived happily and safely at the harbor in Genoa on Saturday, 22.12.2018 at 3:40 AM. Since the gates only open at 6 AM, we line up behind the partially adventurous loaded vehicles and sleep for a few more hours.
