This morning we started a little after six. Pick up from the hotel and drive to Boulder City to the airport! Boarding the helicopter and departure was at 8:00 am. I had asked if I could sit in the front. That worked out and I was able to film and take pictures. First, we flew over Hoover Dam to the Grand Canyon. We flew a bit through the canyon and then landed in the middle. What I didn't know was that a boat trip was included. That was another highlight on top, driving on the Grand Canyon with a speedboat. Just a short distance upstream. After that, we let ourselves drift. There were four of us in the helicopter and nine people on the boat. Nobody spoke afterwards and it was absolutely quiet on the water. After about 30 minutes, we went back to the helicopter to go to the Skywalk. We weren't allowed to take pictures ourselves there. Except for one free picture, the pictures were offered for purchase afterwards.
We were then taken to a second beautiful viewpoint where you could see the Grand Canyon very well. It is over 1 mile and therefore 1.6 km high. I don't know how many people have already fallen while taking a selfie here. It's breathtaking. After we had seen everything, we flew back to Boulder City by helicopter and from there took the bus back to Las Vegas. A very exciting day. Now I finally have time to sort my pictures and write this blog here.
This evening I walked through the Caesars Palace hotel again and looked at the VIP shopping mall. Crazy what's going on here.
