Countdown < 72 hrs 😬

The pulse rises as we load our gear and extensive luggage, including supplies, into the trailer and the Vitara, sorting, stowing, and securing everything 🤓

The balancing of the hitch load is working wonderfully, and we remain a few kilos under the limit 😏

Thanks to the additional airline tracks in the trailer, everything can be properly secured in its final positions, and there is enough space in the front area for the mobile travel luggage for stops in Nortorf/on Rómó/Hirthals and ultimately for the crossing 😁

Somehow, with “all that weight,” we always felt like two restless nights 💬🛌💭 “this might be too heavy”

On Saturday, we finally headed to the landfill to weigh the outfit, but unfortunately, it was only open every third Saturday and was closed. A friendly employee on duty couldn’t help us but gave us the great tip that there is an external scale at the nearby lime plant.

There everything went smoothly, and with just under 1 ton, we still had about 300 kg of leeway, resulting in a towing weight of about 2.8 tons. Let’s see how we handle the Kassel mountains 🌻🌼🌷😂

In any case, we now sleep more peacefully and enjoy the last hours reading, cooking delicious meals, making our four walls a “summer party,” and saying goodbye to friends and family.
