Now I have been walking on the Camino de Santiago for four weeks, 430km behind me and still 290km to Finisterre. So far, the weather has been good and my feet carry me every day, sometimes more, sometimes less.
The distances are mostly determined by the hostels.
My mind is very empty by now and I think
Often only about essential things like food, drink, sleep, and encounters. Because that's the most important thing here...
I have gotten used to sleeping in dormitories and occasionally treating myself to a guesthouse. But in hotels I feel out of place, it's nicer when we pilgrims are among ourselves... sometimes you get good tips, sometimes good conversations arise, and sometimes you don't say a word... but everyone knows the feeling of being on the road, in the evening the feet are tired... there is something that connects the pilgrims.
The nature on the coast is very beautiful and green.
Unfortunately, we often have to walk on asphalt, which hurts especially after a few kilometers. But the beautiful nature is the compensation.
Tomorrow I will leave the coast and go into the mountains towards Santiago.
