Force majeure due to heavy rain and a canceled bus threw a spanner in the works of our plans in Coromandel and left us stranded in Tauranga.
After an exhausting day of long bus rides and desperate attempts to make new plans in Mc Donald's (a warm place with internet❤️), we were the happiest people when our last-minute hostel booking worked out and we had a roof over our heads at half past 9 in the evening!
New day - New luck🍀
When we woke up in Tauranga the next morning, we headed off to a little hike to Mount Maunganui (223m) from where you had a great view of the surfer town and the beach.
During the hike up the mountain, the green meadows with countless sheep reminded us of Irish landscapes. 🐏🐏🐏🐏🐏🐏🐏
For those who have been wondering when we will finally start with the 'work' part of our 'Work & Travel trip': tomorrow is the day! ☝🏽
If everything goes well, we will visit our first Wwoofing accommodation at Lake Rotorua and work with Helen.💪🏽💪🏽
