From Golden to Jasper

Unfortunately, our four days in Golden are already over and we leave our lodge with one laughing and one crying eye. In the last few days we were able to discover a beautiful and impressive landscape and found a really great and lovely host in Lynn, who was always there to help us with great tips and delicious muffins or pancakes.

Now we continue today and our journey takes us to Jasper for the next three nights, where we stay in a heritage chalet, a cozy wooden house.

The route from Golden to Jasper via the Icefields Parkway was once again incredibly beautiful. Unfortunately the weather was mixed today and the sun was rarely visible. But we were still able to make short stops at Bow Lake and Peyto Lake in bright sunshine. We took another break at the Columbia Icefield Center , but the weather conditions there were not good and the glacier was covered in fog. We therefore decided not to visit the Glacier Skywalk, which offers great views of the mountains when the weather is nice. As a result, we arrived at our current destination, Jasper , a little earlier and explored the mountain town. On the way there we even saw our first "wild" moose - an impressive little animal!
