Today we want to go hiking and have chosen the Wild Pacific Trail for that. This trail consists of several sections and runs along the coast at the edge of the rainforest.
Our entry point is the Lighthouse loop trail. It offers great views of the rugged coast. In the distance, we catch sight of a whale's blow multiple times, but unfortunately it doesn't come up.
After a picnic at the lighthouse, we hike down to the ocean. There is a lot of driftwood washed up here, which provides great seating. Above us, a bald eagle circles, and we can observe it raiding other nests for a long time. Later, we spot it again with a young bird in a tree.
The kids enjoy their time at the natural beach, climbing over rocks and constantly finding interesting things. The loop trail leads us back through the rainforest to the holiday home.
Once we arrived there, Friederike and Clemens enjoy a bath on the balcony in the afternoon sun. In the evening, of course, there will be fish and chips by the sea.
