Today's tour is cancelled, after four days with five passes and at the request of Lis, it will be a very quiet day:
Col de Mallemort (2558 m) - Larche (1680 m) - Val Fourane (2000 m)
We slept extremely well under the "Pass of Dire Death", as good as rarely, and the temperature didn't drop below zero either (it was 5 degrees). We started walking still chilled until the first sunshine and warmed up and dried the tent.
In Larche, we stocked up on supplies a little bit, not much was possible, and then went to the nearby restaurant for lunch.
We spent the afternoon in Val Fourane, sunbathing, washing, and lying down. Before climbing up to the first lake, we set up our tent.
Larche marks the beginning of the last part of the GR 5. We are now in the Maritime Alps, soon in the Mercantour National Park, and from the next pass in the last department for us, Alpes-Maritimes.
