From Untermeitingen to Eresing

13.8. - today is the perfect weather for hiking, no rain, not too hot...and it's true. 😀

Today I'm hiking through some villages, everything is tidy and neat. The cars parked in the driveways show the supposed prosperity of the people.

For some time I follow the Lech river, the water is crystal clear and clean. In one area, beavers have unmistakably left their traces. I pass by a castle ruin, then through beautiful forest areas and around the towns through fields. Many flowers are blooming on the roadside. I can see the Alps in the distance! Much of this place still appears untouched and less 'used'.

The day ends in Eresing, a town not far from Lake Ammersee.

The insight of the day: I love the mountains! Seeing the mountains in the distance and knowing that it will still take me a few more days to get there, increases my joy.

Word of the day: Reherl (had it for dinner 😀).
