Where to Find the Best Coffee in Tbilisi?

Pubblicato: 08.11.2025

The best second- and third-wave coffee spots in a city that can rightfully be called a paradise for coffee enthusiasts.

Shavi Coffee Roasters – The Original
40 Mikheil Zandukeli St
One of the top specialty coffee shops in Tbilisi, featuring a minimalist interior and a welcoming atmosphere (it’s actually a chain, and each location is fantastic). Mornings and afternoons are quieter, while evenings can be lively – it may seem counterintuitive, but that’s typical in specialty coffee culture.

Asters, Specialty Coffee
4 Kote Marjanishvili St
A small, intimate spot with a cozy atmosphere, focused on quality. While walking down the main street, you might easily overlook it, but it’s a true hidden gem. Here, in a simple setting, they serve excellent drip coffee and offer unique flavors with their own character. It’s perfect for a casual work meeting or remote work – the space is laptop-friendly.

BNKR Specialty Roasters
26 Simon Janashia St
A modern third-wave coffee shop, focused on innovation and unique drinks. Don’t miss their signature coffee with pomegranate juice (yes, it works!). The coffee here is above average. It’s a great place to linger and enjoy a relaxed morning in the company of local cats.

SALI | Specialty Coffee & Breakfast
30 Anton Katalikosi St
A wonderful blend of specialty coffee and a hearty, satisfying breakfast – the ideal way to start the day. Less experimental, but consistently high-quality coffee. Nothing excessive, just great coffee and delicious food.

kanary • Specialty Coffee – Vake
44 Irakli Abashidze St
A cozy café in the Vake district, friendly and offering intriguing drinks. It’s not strictly a third-wave coffee shop, but it has the ambiance of a “neighborhood” café – calm and quiet, away from the tourist hub. Try their latte with banana syrup and enjoy the freshly baked, low-sugar pastries.

Gabriadze Cafe 13 Ioane Shavteli St Coffee with character, an innovative kitchen, and outstanding restaurant service. They don’t serve specialty coffee, but the classic espresso is remarkable, and you can pair it with a special dessert. While exploring the Old Town, this is the perfect place to rest, embrace the unhurried pace, and admire the crafted interior details brought to life by Rezo Gabriadze, the renowned Georgian playwright and writer.
