Our third visit to the Zuiderzee Museum in Enkhuizen, but no less beautiful than the first two times. The first time we visited the museum was during a school trip in 8th grade. The second time we were here with his parents. So this was our first time here alone.
At the parking lot, you pay both the entrance fee and the parking fee, and from there, you continue with the boat, which takes you to the museum in a few minutes. The Zuiderzee Museum is a large open-air museum designed like a 19th-century village. You can spend several hours or even the whole day there. The museum is really well done, it makes you feel like you've been transported back in time. You can visit some of the many houses, there are some delicious treats to buy, and there are also games for entertainment. Luke treated himself to fresh smoked salmon, and I had delicious pastries.
We strolled leisurely through the village and sat down in the local cafe for coffee and tea. Fortunately, it wasn't busy at all today. So we could take our time, enjoy the atmosphere, and take a good look at everything before we headed back towards Enkhuizen.
