After our rather short visit to the Zee Aquarium in Bergen, we drove to Alkmaar. There we parked in a somewhat remote but affordable parking garage and then walked to the old town. With its many canals running through the town, Alkmaar reminded us a little of a mini Amsterdam. A very pretty, small city! However, we were also done with sightseeing relatively quickly here, as Alkmaar is not particularly big. So we later sat down in a Greek restaurant. We were even able to sit outside as the wind had subsided by now and the sun came out a bit. There we enjoyed our meal, took a little walk through the city afterwards, and then walked back to the car and drove back to Julianadorp.
There we made ourselves comfortable for the rest of the day.
