Today is the day of departure.
On the other ships there was always a lot of stress and chaos, but not here. We chose the option to take our suitcases ourselves, so we are completely free of time (you just have to be on land before 10).
So we had a relaxed breakfast and then calmly left the ship.
The buses were almost empty and we easily went to the city to our hotel.
There we could check in and leave our luggage, so we could explore the city freely.
We explored the city again with the Hop on Hop off bus, this time with a 1-hour canal and harbor tour.
Copenhagen turned out to be a very diverse city. Beautiful architecture, lots of water, lots of bikes (2 bikes for every Copenhagen resident), lots of electric cars (Copenhagen wants to be CO2 neutral in 6 years), etc, etc.
There is something for everyone. And the food is also great, yummy Smørrebrød!
A visit to the royal family was a must. We actually wanted to congratulate the crown prince, who has his birthday today, but the guards didn't seem to appreciate our idea.
In the evening, we had a nice dinner and then, tired and with lots of impressions in our heads, we went back to the hotel.
