After the 2 nights in beautiful Queenstown, it was time to travel on. That's exactly why we headed towards Wanaka on this morning! Wanaka is a smaller town that is not far from Queenstown and is located directly on the beautiful Lake Wanaka. But first, we made a short stop at Kawarau Jetboating. Jet boats are boats that are powered by water jets instead of a propeller and were originally developed specifically for the conditions in New Zealand's waters. Because of the water jets, the boat can also drive in shallow waters, is very maneuverable and very, very fast. Sometimes when you drive over a small wave in the river or rather jump, you don't even touch the water anymore! That's why jet boating is a popular tourist attraction. You drive incredibly fast past rocks and rock pinnacles and do 360 degree spins where most people in the boat get wet. After the jet boating, my whole pants and shoes were completely wet! After the jet boating, we went to 'Puzzling World'. This consists of a difficult labyrinth and a house with many optical illusions and illusions. Afterwards, we drove to Wanaka where we had 3 hours of free time to explore the city and buy presents for our buddies. (We were assigned to buy a gift for our buddy who was assigned to us at the beginning of the tour, which should be presented at the end of the tour). In the evening, my group was assigned to cook dinner. This time we didn't have an evening program, so we could simply enjoy the evening in probably the best rooms of the tour.
