After a relaxing morning with breakfast outdoors and a view of the lake, we headed to Clearwater Lake, as we could only check into our new spot in the afternoon. Halfway there, the road was actually 22 km of gravel leading to Clearwater Lake, which was a bit bumpy 😅😅😅 but this time the GPS was not wrong.
Upon arrival, we made our way to the Lakeshore Trail along the lake, but since the weather was turning a bit, we didn’t book any canoes. We made a short stop at a dock for our picnic at the end of the trail before heading back, as it started to thunder.
Destination for today: Wettstone Guest Ranch.
When we arrived, we were greeted by a fire truck. The firefighter told us that lightning had started a fire not far from here. However, it was under control, and we could proceed to the ranch. Depending on the situation, an evacuation might occur. Our host then told us that we had missed the show of the seaplanes that were deployed for firefighting.
Everything remained calm, and the fire was extinguished.
