We spent the fourth and last day in the metropolis relaxing by the pool. Well, more or less relaxing, because I had to start uploading the pictures three times and end up doing it in small portions. But it doesn't matter, there was no deadline. In the evening, we went to the zoo, a very large park-like facility. The enclosures are large and built very naturally. They mainly house animals from this climate zone. We decided to do a night safari, a guided tour with a small train. We got very close to the animals. Unusually, I had never seen a giraffe lying down and sleeping before! The "Creatures of the Night" ended the zoo visit with their show. Nocturnal animals were presented, such as owls, raccoons, and snakes.
On Wednesday afternoon, we turned our backs on this fascinating, modern, traditional, friendly, and sparkling clean city and flew overnight to Nadi, Fiji. A completely different world, tropical, green, hilly, and partly mountainous. After picking up our rental car at the airport, we immediately drove to the other side of the island, to the capital Suva, to recover from the restless night at the Grand Pacific Hotel. It's a paradise here, and it seems like the people can read your wishes right from your eyes. Tomorrow we will explore the eastern part of the island, and then there will be pictures again!
