Crazy Italians

Pubblicato: 29.11.2017

One evening in Dalat Liz and I just wanted to go to our favorite restaurant Hoa Sen for dinner and then go to bed early... but our plans were thwarted by two Italians. 'Just for a beer'... it rarely stays that way. Several beers followed, pool billiards, dancing at the Fog Bar and even more drinks... when we wanted to go home Anton, my motorcycle, was gone. If only I had locked it... but I also expected dinner to only last an hour. I was annoyed with myself and was already expecting to have to buy a new one.

The next day, luckily, the motorbike appeared in front of the restaurant and Ansgar, who didn't have a hangover like Liz and I, brought Anton back to me in one piece :) The restaurant staff had 'kindly' rolled it in, as is often the case here. (After the second disappearance, I didn't worry anymore) After another evening with the two singing Italians Andrea and Tommaso, the four of us decided to ride part of the route towards the north. It became a shared week full of music, long funny dance nights, breathtaking motorcycle tours through the Vietnamese jungle, coffee breaks, food porn, swimming, even more coffee breaks, grappa and pizza, vodka, mojitobuckets... and a boat trip. Our route led from Dalat, Buôn ma Thuôt, Pleiku, Hôi An to Huê. There our ways separated and Liz and I rode across the border at Lao Bao to Laos.
