Luglio in Slovenia

Slovenia.A Country full of beautiful nature, friendly people, and interesting tourist attractions. A friend and I are celebrating birthdays day after day, so this inspired us to think about a trip. July was the month to be brave, get in the car and head towards Bistrica ob Sotli - a small place in Slovenia not far from Zagreb. There we were welcomed by a hostess at the accommodation 'Gabronka' which left a special rural charm on us. The old renovated wooden house with various motifs reminiscent of childhood relaxed us with a glass of wine and prepared us for new adventures. The coming day brought a multitude of new experiences such as feeding tame deer at Jelenji greben, enjoying fine homemade goulash and polenta, and walking in nature. The alpaca ranch surprised us with the fantastic hospitality of the owners and smiling faces. Moreover, feeding the alpacas and spending time with the animals was the highlight of the entire day. The hosts treated us to homemade food and wine - cheese, sausages, ham, and crusty bread. We particularly enjoyed driving along the dirt roads through the woods and hills, talking about what awaited us. These were some special birthdays, and it’s always better to celebrate them with a loved one, on a trip, not knowing what you will do or where the destination is.
