After crossing the border into Utah for the first time, we went straight to Lake Powell, which spans two states. The goal was Lone Rock, a rock in the middle of one of the lake's side arms. Lake Powell is a reservoir that has flooded Glen Canyon. When we arrived, we were excited about the bright sunshine, as it had been raining for the past few days. We relaxed and could observe several thunderstorms passing by very well, until we (I would say after 4-5 thunderstorms passing by) also got caught. Since we were standing right on the beach and didn't have all-wheel drive, we fled as quickly as possible, as we didn't want to get stuck. That's why we stayed overnight in Page, Arizona. The next morning, we headed safely to Utah without turning back! We took the morning easy and then drove further and further into Utah. Before we reached our next destination, Zion National Park.
