We suddenly realized that the hotel confirmation was missing for the first night. Optimistically, we just sat on the bus and hoped for the best. We had expected the bus ride to take about 5 hours, which means we would arrive in Fortaleza around 6 and still have plenty of time to find a hotel for the night.
Unfortunately, the car broke down in the first half hour and we had to wait for about 1 hour for a new car. After 4 hours of driving, we made a stop and thought we had finally arrived. The bus driver had to smile because we were actually in Mossoró and still had another 4 hours ahead of us.
On the 9th, we arrived at the hotel where the receptionist had to inform us that the hotel was already fully booked. Luckily, he had just called the hotel next door on the street, where there was still a free room. That was the first time we realized how heavy our backpacks actually are :D
Jan 29, 2016 On this beautiful Friday, we decided to go to Beachpark. We read on the internet that the entrance fee was 150 Reals (extremely expensive for Brazil). So we didn't take much more money with us, because we also made some sandwiches for the way. Then the rude awakening came. When buying the tickets, they said it actually costs 200 Reals per person, so all our money was already gone. In Beachpark, it was difficult because we couldn't lock our bags. But of course, they also wanted the money we didn't have anymore. At that point, we had to decide. Either go on each slide individually or hide our bags. We put our bags in an open locker without locks. We kept checking from time to time if they were still there.
There were many different and fun slides. Especially the one where you stand inside a capsule and the floor disappears under your feet.
I saw Fabienne really scared on this particular slide for the first time. :D But we both survived!

At 4 in the morning, the car came to pick us up from the hotel to take us to Jericoacoa. There, we decided to go on an excursion to Pedra Furada, Arvore da Preguiça, and Jericoacoa.
It was really cool because we drove through the sand dunes in safari cars. We had to walk a rocky path to see the rock formations.
During the approximately 4-hour return journey, we made acquaintance with funny and entertaining children. The whole bus was annoyed with us because we had to laugh so loudly (you know all our laughter hahaha) and take pictures with flash.
We were really looking forward to the excursion because we had missed the opportunity to go buggy riding in Switzerland. But once again, the weather wasn't on our side and it rained heavily all day long.
But we still went buggy riding and despite the weather, it was a lot of fun. There were 2 stops during the buggy ride. At one stop, we could slide down a sand dune with wooden planks and play in the sand. At the second stop, there was a self-built water slide and a rope to swing on and jump into the water. We had to skip these activities because of the bad weather.

We were very excited about the excursion because we really wanted to go buggy riding. But the weather was not good, and it rained heavily all day long.
We still went buggy riding and despite the bad weather, it was a lot of fun. During the buggy ride, there were 2 stops. At one stop, we could slide down a sand dune with wooden planks and play in the sand. At the second stop, there was a homemade water slide and a rope to swing on and jump into the water. We had to skip these activities because of the bad weather.

Mir sind scho richtig integriert da und sind am abig (mit eusne coole Leggins) am Strand go jogge und fitte. Es het immer mal wieder es Outdoor Fitness.
We even bought the leggings that shocked us in the beginning and realized that people can wear such things. We bought two in pink and red. We are already integrated here and in the evening (with our cool leggings), we go jogging and work out on the beach. There is always outdoor fitness activities going on.
