The day began with an unusual sight, it was raining and not just a little. But despite the bad weather and empty stomach (hotel without breakfast), we didn't let ourselves get discouraged and started the journey with a cheerful mood. Although we passed through several villages along smaller roads over time, there was no cafeteria in sight. Our stomachs were growling, but we kept going, just like the rain that seemed to have brought in fresh air from the Atlantic and gave its all. It was only after nearly 11km, and only because we deviated from the 'right' path, that we could finally satisfy our hunger and thirst. After the late breakfast, we also packed away our rain gear, as the weather was getting better, partly because we were getting closer to the Atlantic bit by bit. At a certain section of the route, we had to decide whether to turn inland or continue along the coast. Here, we also met the Dutch couple mentioned earlier, who chose the inland route (after an 11-month trip to Canada, they still had some time to walk the Camino del Norte). We decided on the second option, as we realized we would only have 2 more days to see the coast and the Atlantic. Our destination for today, which we reached after a total of 22 km, was announced as a coastal town with a beautiful old town, but either we have a different idea of a beautiful old town or we ended up in a different place.
