My night in the field was characterized by deer barking, nightingale singing, and the fear that someone might notice the unrest. In the early morning, it also became very cold in the tent and moisture moved over the fields under my tarpaulin. I set off on this day around 9am, somewhat tired but relatively well under the circumstances. The sun was scorching and I went through the flat fields and meadows all day. A landscape made for the common buzzard, probably 10 birds accompanied me throughout the day. Flying far away in the sky or sitting elevated by the roadside. Some also accompanied me in stages on my journey. 20km before my destination, Lake Neusiedl, the development began to become denser again. Supermarkets and restaurants were an indication of tourist infrastructure. I abandoned my plan to stay at a campsite when passing through the vineyards 5km before my destination. Here I could simply find a place with a great view over the lake and the marsh reed fields in front. After replenishing my water supply, I had a quiet evening and a good night.
