First day in Ubud

Hot and unusually humid, that's the first observation when stepping outside.

The car ride between the capital Denpasar and the village Udud no longer goes through terra firma. At least along the road, the route is wildly built up.

Wild building is also happening in Ubud. A stroll seamlessly passes by archaic construction sites, countless temples, houses that look like temples (I often can't tell the difference), endless masses of motorcycles, people, dogs, and other animals. Of course, there are also masses of tourists, a large part from China.

And yet, the start of the journey here seems quite good to me.
