El Chiflon was our last excursion of our South Mexico-Guatemala trip. I can't believe it's already been 1 month since we left Tlaxcala - time flew by. With many interesting and valuable experiences in our luggage, we are returning to Tuxtla to take our return flight to Puebla. There we will meet Rolando and Lily again, our Couchsurfing friends whom we met at the beginning of our trip and with whom we can stay overnight again this time.
In the evening, we will have a cozy dinner and chill at Roly and Lily's slow food restaurant Chiquitita. The next morning, I have the opportunity to repay their hospitality with my Banana Pancakes (Simone's Special). This time, I made them with platanos machos (Mexican plantains), which turned out to be even better and more delicious than with regular bananas!
Rolando and Lily will then drive us to the Colectivo, which will take us to the airport. It will drop us off a bit far from the actual airport, so we'll have to walk for 15 minutes. However, this was clearly the better choice compared to the overpriced taxi.Unfortunately, there aren't many food options at the airport, but it will still be a while until we arrive in Puebla. So for the first time on our trip, contrary to our principles, we will have to resort to an American fast food restaurant.
Somehow, I completely forgot to take photos on the last day. That's why we only have ones of the airport grounds... :D
