On Thailand's third largest island clocks tick slower and tourism has not yet spoiled the island like Samui, Phi Phi or Koh Chang. There's much to explore, but as we are still relying on our legs only instead of renting a scooter, we only hiked the southwest of the island. Since the government enforces a very restrictive building policy on the island, there are just a few ugly big resorts and traffic is very limited. Our favorite discovery is Chayo - a somehow magic restaurant - where we had dinner every night. Tomorrow we'll be on our way to Bangkok and - believe it or not - we are really looking forward to be in that big bustling city again.
