We woke up early because we had a long distance to cover. We continued southwards. The Sveti Naum Monastery in North Macedonia was on the agenda. It was founded by Saint Naum in the late 9th century and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We drove through congested streets in major and minor cities in Albania, across mountains, past fields, rivers, and along Lake Ohrid until we reached the border. Departing Albania was not a problem, entering North Macedonia was not a problem for us, but it was for the car. We didn't have international insurance for the car and couldn't get one here. So we only spent 5 minutes on North Macedonian soil before turning back and re-entering Albania. It was a pretty short pleasure. Good thing we didn't plan to stay overnight here.
