Parking space Oude Vaartstraat

The first day has already offered some surprises, because the journey south did not offer sunshine or rising temperatures, but exactly the opposite: it became increasingly gray, wet and cool and the water level on the highway only allowed for very reduced speed in some places.

But shortly after arriving here at the parking space 12 km away from Bruges, the sun came out again, so I could start my first bike ride right away.

Past cows and sheep, along small canals and almost always on generously developed bike paths - and all of course without any inclines - that was a nice reward after the long car journey.

Tomorrow I will go to Bruges by bike - it will definitely be a nice day 😎😊
