Everyone survived the night in Death Valley thanks to the air conditioning and in the morning we could escape the heat together.
But the valley didn't want to let us go so easily and it gave us a surprise. Because our path was like a roller coaster ride that seemed endless for some. But Nurse Anja always has the right remedy for such cases.
After 1.5 hours we finally made it, the streets and landscape suddenly changed from desert, there was nothing to see, it turned green again.
The temperature dropped. Around noon we reached Tenaya Lake and spotted a rare otter species. After briefly weighing the risks, we decided to swim with it. This was the best idea we had that day, it was simply fantastic.
But even the most beautiful moments come to an end, so we made our way to our camp. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the mammoth trees due to the still raging fire in Yosemite National Park.
