Meeting our friend Steven again

Those who regularly read our blog will know who Steven is.

We met him on 9.11.17 in Laos, he was like a birthday gift to me...

We cycled together for 2 weeks in Laos, we even shared the same room...

Now it's time to meet him again...

But this time at his home in Napier...

Another long and extremely exhausting day...

Patrick and I are exhausted, it has been extremely hot for days (35 degrees) and we climb a lot of altitude every day, we spend almost the whole day on the bike...

But today is a special day...

Steven is coming towards us...

We meet him after 65 km and first stop for a coffee...

There's so much to talk about...

We continue and make 2 more stops, at a lake and at a berry sale where we get this delicious ice cream again...

I can luckily skip the very last steep hill of the day, as a pick-up driver asks me if he should give me a ride...

What luck!

When we arrive in the evening, Steven's mom has already cooked for us and there's cool beer and delicious red wine...
