After having slept in relatively well today, we went on the whale watching tour at one o'clock. Tickets usually cost 70/80 euros, but since one of my host family works there, we were allowed to do the tour for free.
The first hour was relatively uneventful as we first had to go out to sea.
As soon as we were a little further out, we saw one whale after another. According to the guide, there were about 3 or 4 humpback whales in total, which we saw about 10 to 15 times. We saw a lot of puffins. They were really cute and moved over the waves like a rowing boat. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take any decent photos of them. But I did manage to take a few whale photos. The best whale photos were taken by the guides and posted online.
After we arrived back in Reykjavik at around half past four, we warmed up in a café as it had become quite cold.
Before dinner we went to a small botanical garden directly behind the campsite and looked around the area.
See you then
