2 o'clock in the morning, I wake up to the rain drumming on my tent. My clothes, which were hanging outside to dry and air, were already beyond saving. I didn't fall asleep deeply and dreamt of random things about camping, rain, going out, or staying in the tent. At 8 o'clock, there was a short rain break and we hurried to pack everything and set off. An orange plastic bag from Swissair proved to be a good companion for storing wet clothes and the tent. The day on the bike was more of a struggle for me today. Röne was doing really well and rode most of the time far ahead at his own pace. Through rain and wind, my focus was solely on reaching the destination. Today's experience showed me again how great the first days went, with sun and tailwind. The first stage until the lunch break was 65km, Röne apparently waited for hours in a cafe for me. We ate together until he continued on his way and we said goodbye. He has almost the same route, but covers more km per day than me. My route in the afternoon went to Melbu, where I took a room. I made full use of the supermarket, showers, laundry facilities, and the electric heater in the room. Physically, I felt at a limit after the 107km. But I'm slowly getting here. I feel like I'm developing a sense of security and routine. Röne helped me with that, I'll think of him while picking cloudberries.
