Lacanjá & Frontera Corozal

I spent my last days in Mexico calmly. On Saturday, I headed towards the border. I stayed overnight in the village of Lacanja in the Lacandon Jungle. On Sunday, I hiked to the Golondrinas Waterfalls through the rainforest. When a woman told me before the hike that she had seen a big snake on this trail, I was a bit nervous. However, I ended up being only breakfast for a few mosquitoes and I didn't see any animals except for lizards, birds, ants, and butterflies.

After that, I went to the border town of Corozal. Upon departure, the officials advised me against traveling to Flores because I would arrive there very late. So I stayed another night in Mexico and crossed the Usumacinta River the next morning.
