Time flies so fast...

6 months ago, we couldn't wait to finally fly. First, out of Germany to the world metropolis of Singapore. Then off to Australia, we waited so long for this day. In between, a vacation in Indonesia. 6 months ago, everything was so exciting and new...

Meanwhile, we have our daily routine here and enjoy life in the heat with daily blue skies and sunshine. We have made great friendships and acquaintances, as well as great jobs with fantastic colleagues and supervisors.

Last weekend, the preparations for the ROADTRIP started. The things are slowly piling up in our room (off-road accessories, water bottles, crates). Departure is on September 15th.... until then we still have some organizing to do. This past weekend, our beloved Maxi (our car) got curtains so that the sun doesn't shine in so much. We also decorated the trunk with non-slip mats. Last week, Padi installed an LED light bar on our bullbar, so we can see in the dark (we will only drive at night in case of emergency).

We also received a package from Germany, which we were very happy about. We had a few things that we *needed* from Germany. Sure, we could have gotten almost everything here in Australia, but either super expensive or of poor quality. So we were really happy about Salinis (gluten-free pretzels), cable ties in all sizes, camping dishes, dish towels, phone case, etc.

Now, we just have to work a few more times and save some more money, and then the next big adventure will begin. Our road trip around Australia. I will upload our plans when I have time.
