The journey to Quebec on the Chemin du Roy and the Montmorency Falls

Közzétett: 24.04.2018

After checking out of my hotel in Montreal this morning, I embarked on a 280km car ride. I took this journey on the Chemin du Roy, also known as the King's Road. It runs along the north shore of the St. Lawrence River and connects Montreal to Quebec. During the car ride, the river was almost always right beside me. After about six hours, including some stops, I arrived in Quebec. I am staying in a hotel here, which is more like a motel. Unfortunately, it doesn't have its own kitchen, so I will be eating cold meals again for the next few days. I will be spending two nights here in total, and tomorrow I will be going to Quebec City. Originally, I planned to take it easy this evening and later go to the supermarket to get something to eat. However, a look at the guidebook changed my plans abruptly. So, it was time to pack my things (camera, GoPro) and go. Montmorency Falls is located very close to Quebec. Since I have the entire day planned for Quebec tomorrow and will be leaving early by car the day after, I wanted to visit this place today. The sun was still shining for another two hours. I really liked the waterfall, and I also managed to save the eight-dollar parking fee because there was no one at the parking booth due to the time. I always find waterfalls particularly fascinating, and somehow they have a tremendous attraction for me. The power and the amount of non-stop water are absolutely impressive. But see for yourself ;) Today, I filmed two videos with my GoPro. The first video (https://youtu.be/PCV5n0QCSLs) shows the drive along the St. Lawrence River. The second video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6CEAkH_SPA) shows the Montmorency Falls. Enjoy watching.
