Today is the Chinese New Year and the first trip of 2024 has already been booked just in time for the New Year. Before we go back to China for a longer period of time in August, we will pay a visit to “Augustus”. In three months, according to the plan, we will go to Rome in the footsteps of the Roman Empire and its outstanding emperors Augustus, Trajan and Diocletian. The sightseeing list therefore includes, among other things, a visit to the former home of Augustus, the Altar of the Peace of Augustus (Ara Pacis Augustae), the historiography on Trajan's Column and the Baths of Diocletian, from which the main train station in Rome takes its name (Roma terms).
Speaking of “train station”: We made the bold and courageous decision (after a flight cancellation) to take the train to Rome. The adventure is therefore pre-programmed from the start of the holiday trip. I will then publish descriptions and photos from the trip to Rome here. Until then, feel free to browse through my old travel blogs: Xiefuzi Blogs
