We didn't set an alarm in the hope that we would finally get some sleep. With success! At around 10 a.m. we were still lying in our very hard beds and thought about starting the day slowly. No sooner said than done: we packed our backpacks, freshened up and tried once again to wake up properly. At 12 o'clock sharp there was a knock on our door to tell us that we had to check out. We were not aware that the Thais place so much value on punctuality. Well, at least something familiar from home...
After we had a grave take us to the next town, although we accidentally gave the wrong hotel, we first looked for something to eat. At 1 p.m. it was breakfast with porridge for Ronja and a Margherita pizza for Nina. Our new hotel is quite acceptable for the next 3 nights. We pay €30 per night, which is quite a lot for our standards. Ao Nang is a bit more expensive. We hoped for a little more from the beach. We were greeted by many people, loud boats and the noise of engines from the street on the beach. And the water is not as clear as in many Instagram pictures. For now, though, we're happy to be here in the heat and not have to endure the snow in Germany.
Our dinner was Indian. “Not spicy” is good... so if that was not spicy , then we don't want to experience what spicy is. Unfortunately, 2 black hairs were found in Ronja's dish. We weren't too happy with the choice but that's part of it.
To end the day, we went to a bar. The choice fell on a bar with live music. Emotional love songs were played - just right when the friends are sitting at home. After a cocktail we went back to the hotel, took a shower and went to bed early. The alarm goes off tomorrow morning because we have decided on a boat tour. We're looking forward to!
“Here, take some tissues with you,” a friendly waitress replied to Ronja’s question about the toilet and handed her about 7 napkins from the dispenser box at a table
Until tomorrow
