After a rather calm Christmas day, it was colorful and lively today - we visited the oldest and most colorful quarter of Cape Town, Bo-Kaap.
Today, about 6000 people live in this area of about one square kilometer. The area originated in the 18th century when the Cape Malays were freed from slavery. The Muslims joined together and settled in the area of today's Bo-Kaap.
The colorful houses are now a symbol of uniqueness and a true tourist attraction. Not only do the houses make a good photo motive, but there is also a lot of culinary discoveries to be made due to the different nationalities that inhabit Bo-Kaap. Definitely worth a visit.
In the evening, we had an aperitif with a wonderful evening sunshine overlooking Table Mountain ☺️
