Day 12 - Hermanus
Once again, we were greeted by rain in the morning. After breakfast, Corina had a cuddle session with the dogs. Then we went to Gearings Point, where apparently you would have the best view of the whales if they actually appeared. Unfortunately, we didn't see any today. But we did see some seals :-)
Next, we went to the Old Harbour Museum, where we could see remnants of the past. After that, we went to Grotto Beach. Due to the bad weather, we were the only people for miles. Since it was quite chilly and windy, we only stayed briefly and then went to Voelklip Beach. On the way there, we saw monkeys on the road, enjoying a toast. At this beach, despite the monsoon-like conditions, 2 locals dared to go into the water. We preferred to watch from a distance.
In the evening, we went to the Chards restaurant again, as they had by far the best food.
Today is our last night in Hermanus. Unfortunately, it has rained almost the entire time during our stay. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our time here very much. Tomorrow we will continue towards Cape Town, where we will share a house with Miri and Wauti.
