Auckland Airport. No comparison to Dubai, small, organized, and far fewer people. By the way, we made it through biosecurity without any problems. We had a strict shoe cleaning check, but they believed that we had cleaned our shoes.
After a 16-hour flight, we were quite tired, so we left the airport and took a taxi to the hotel. We didn't want to take the bus because Leo would have fallen asleep for sure, and we wanted to avoid that because of the jet lag.
In the end, missing the flight turned out to be a blessing, as we arrived more relaxed.
After checking in, we took a little walk at the Auckland Harbour, where we found some great food locations at the fish market, including live music.
Afterwards, Brigitte went swimming with Leo, while I felt my feet giving way, so I got on the bed and fell asleep. Shortly after, the two swimmers returned, it was already 5 PM and bedtime; jet lag is merciless.
